Why Scuba Diving Wave Break Island is a Must-Do

Situated within the Gold Coast Broadwater, Wave Break Island is a manmade sanctuary teeming with marine life. On a Scuba Diving trip to Wave Break Island, you can see many types of tropical and subtropical fish. You might also spot stingrays and sometimes a turtle. Depths go from a few metres near the shore to about 12 metres by the northern rock wall. This makes it great for both beginners and experienced divers.

Beyond the Island – Shipwreck Diving on the Gold Coast

While Scuba Diving Wave Break Island, you can enjoy calm and colourful reefs. The Gold Coast’s shipwrecks add excitement to your diving plans. These wrecks were sunk on purpose to create artificial reefs. Now, they are home to schools of fish, corals, and other marine creatures.

Diving around a wreck gives you the thrill of exploration combined with incredible photographic opportunities. At Sea the Gold Coast, safety is very important. The crew gives full briefings and provides high-quality gear. They also supervise closely so you can enjoy these sites with confidence.

PRICING

The price for a double dive starts at $125pp and excludes hire equipment. You can add any hire gear throughout the booking process starting at $5 per piece.

  • 2 Tank dive trip with your own gear – $125pp
  • Dive Trip with tanks and weights – $135pp
  • Dive trip with partial gear hire – $135pp plus $5-$20 per hire item
MEETING TIMES
  • Twice daily on 3-6 days per week (check calendar)
  • Morning Dive – 6:45am (meeting time)
  • Afternoon Dive – 11:45am (meeting time)
DIVER REQUIREMENTS
  • Certified as an Open Water Diver (18m)
  • Recent dive experience within 12 months

We never promise specific sites. We will choose the best sites of the day once we have crossed the bar and can fully assess the conditions. Our dive sites include:
